April: What Is My USP?

I am someone who wants to be independent, inspire people and create new things in my life, that is my life goal. But if you want to build a business on those goals, you need an USP, have you ever heard of that ?

USP means your Unique Selling Point. If you want to succeed in your business, you need something that differentiates you from others, and that is your unique selling point. For example there are hundreds and hundreds of brands who sell mobile phones, but why is Apple so popular and successful, even if they are so expensive ? Think about it, they have an USP, it’s probably their software or the design.

USP is important for a business, if you want to survive and grow. An USP helps you to stand out of a mass and be recognized and remembered.

Also as a person, you can emphasize your uniqueness to be recognized, remembered and stand out of a mass, but what makes you so unique? Every person is unique in their own way, but do you know what your uniqueness is?

I had a course called ‘self marketing’ and I had to analyze my strengths and weaknesses. We all do know what our strengths and weaknesses are, but we never think about it intensively, only when it occurs in our life. I think it would really help, if you consciously know your strengths and weaknesses.

It helps you to master job interviews easier, if you are prepared to this question and know, how to reason your strengths and weaknesses.

Analyzing yourself helps you to know where you can put more effort in strengthen your talent, work on your skills, and how to deal with your weakness. If you know yourself better, you are more confident in the things you do and say.

I am still thinking about it very intensively, it is also part of finding myself and figuring out what I really want in my life.
